Environmental Impact Assessment

An environmental impact assessment (EIA) is currently in progress for Broughton Wind Farm Project. This process refers to the analysis of the Project’s infrastructure and its potential impacts on the biophysical and human environments, and then recommend mitigation measures for the various impacts, as applicable. Several documents are now available on the Environmental assessment registry website of the ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs.

To consult the Project’s EIA documentation, please use the link below and go to the Recevabilité de l’étude d’impact section.

With an expected wind energy generation capacity of up to 150 MW, Broughton Wind will provide safe, affordable, and renewable electricity to power the needs of more than 25,000 homes in Québec yearly.

Electricity produced by Broughton Wind will be sold to Hydro-Québec under a long-term power purchase agreement.
