Montreal, September 4, 2026 – Pattern Canada, in collaboration with the Connectif des Sommets and the W8banaki Nation, welcomed more than 100 residents, municipal representatives, and landowners from the Centre-du-Québec and Chaudière-Appalaches regions on Thursday evening to present the Osgood Wind Project, currently in its preliminary development phase.
The open house event, held to inform the public about the project, took place in Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds, a municipality that would host part of the project’s infrastructure if it is selected by Hydro-Québec under the A/O 2026-01 wind energy procurement process.
Pattern and Connectif des Sommets teams, along with their municipal partners, used the opportunity to gather public feedback and answer questions. The development team will present an enhanced version of the project during a second public consultation planned for late fall.
For more than 15 years, Pattern has developed and operated energy infrastructure projects across Canada. In Quebec, the company is active in the Centre-du-Québec and Chaudière-Appalaches regions through the Broughton Project (currently under development) and the Mont Sainte-Marguerite Wind Farm (in operation since 2018), while maintaining a local presence through its teams based in Montreal and Saint-Séverin.

Highlights
- The project includes approximately 25 wind turbines with a combined generating capacity of up to 200 megawatts, enough to meet the annual electricity needs of approximately 30,000 Quebec households.
- The project is located primarily within the municipalities of Saint-Jacques-de-Leeds and Inverness, extending to a lesser extent into areas of Sainte-Agathe-de-Lotbinière, Saint-Pierre-de-Broughton (north), and Saint-Sylvestre.
- The project is expected to create more than 200 jobs during construction and between 7 and 10 permanent positions once operations begin, anticipated around 2032.
